In 2012 I became eligible for Social Security "full retirement". This gave me a good opportunity to reflect upon and recalibrate my life. Rather than continue in my profession, I chose to focus on things that I am passionate about and enjoy:
Social Networking to maintain my blogs and keep in touch with friends and acquaintances.
Volunteering, with a focus on empowering others to take charge of their own lives.
Cooking those things that I already enjoy and expanding my repertoire in the kitchen.
Shooting targets as an enjoyable way to keep mind and body in touch, as accuracy and consistency only come from a quietly intense focus on what one is doing.
Travel to places that are familiar as well as new, keeping in touch with the world and the many beautiful experiences it offers.
Whatever else suits my fancy, constantly expanding my life rather than letting my advancing age contract it.
