Apple Crisp (Gluten Free)

I prepare this when making Apple Pie.


•  ⅔ cup all-purpose gluten-free flour mix
•  ⅓ cup light brown sugar
•  ¼ cup old-fashioned rolled oats
•  ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
•  ¼ tsp sea salt
•  6 tbs chilled unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
•  ¼ cup coarsely chopped pecans
•  2 tsp granulated sugar, more/less to taste


Make apple pie, but use 5 large Granny Smith 5 large more Fuji and a bit more spicing. Reserve what filling does not fit into the pie - about enough to fill an 8-inch square glass pan about ⅔ full.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix all ingredients above to form a crumbly dough. Sprinkle it on top of the pie filling.
Bake for 35-40 minutes. Then let cool for 2 hours or more before serving.
